Product description:
Acid blue 83, also known as Coomassie brilliant R250, is a triaromatic methane and xanthone dye. Acid blue 83 insoluble in cold water, slightly soluble in hot water, bright red light blue, slightly soluble in ethanol, bright blue. In the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid, it appears orange-red and becomes blue after dilution. An aqueous solution with sodium hydroxide appears purple.
