Solvent Blue 97 is a substituted amino anthraquinone. Solvent Blue 97 can be prepared by reacting 1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinone with amine in the presence of dihydro-1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinone and boric ester. The substituted aminoanthraquinones can be used as dyes for plastics and synthetic fibers, and also as precursors for preparing wool dyes.It can be used for dyeing various resins, plastics and fibers.
Manufacturing method: under nitrogen, 20.35g quinone, 20.38g dihydroquinone (including 0.47g quinone), 10.8g trimethyl borate and 8.71g lactic acid (90% by weight) are introduced into 159.7g 2,6-diethyl-4-methylaniline. The mixture was heated to 115 ℃ for 1 hour, during which the methanol produced was evaporated. The temperature was then immediately raised to 145 ° C after 2.5 hours, and the mixture was stirred at 145 ° C for 8 hours, during which the resulting water was evaporated. The reaction was completely checked with thin layer chromatography. The mixture was then cooled to 125 ° C and air was allowed to pass through the mixture for 3 hours. After cooling to 80 ℃, 20.6 g of potassium hydroxide powder was added and air was again allowed to pass through the mixture at 80 ℃ for 4 hours. Add 290ml of methanol dropwise at 70 ° C for 2 hours, then stir for 1 hour under mild boiling. Finally, the suspension was cooled to room temperature, filtered, washed in batches with 200ml of cold methanol and 1L of hot water (80 ℃). After vacuum drying at 80 ℃, 72.9 g (82.0% of theoretical yield) of blue crystalline powder solvent blue 97 was obtained. The heating time was 3.5 h, and the condensation time was 8 h.
